About The Event
The workshop is led by Dr. Avantina Bhandar, a Wellness Advisor with a Ph.D. in Nutrition and Practical Training in Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Bhandar has a passion for communicating facts about health, food, and wellness to people. She believes in promoting 'Health with Happiness,' an approach that emphasizes physical as well as mental wellness.
Dr. Bhanda has worked in the City University of New York (USA), Global Forum for Health in Geneva (Switzerland) and India in both the academic and public sectors.
She loves to write on health and nutrition issues. Some of her books are Textbook of Food Science and Technology, Principles of Therapeutic Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Product Development, Healthy Recipe Guide, and Basic Plant Pathology. Her latest book is about Post Harvest technology improving Food Security.
Besides this she has contributed numerous popular chapters and research papers to many journals, books and magazines. She is the recipient of the DAAD Scholarship (Germany) and the DST Award for the Meeting of Nobel Laureates and Students in Lindau, Germany.
Being creative she utilizes her time to develop therapeutic recipes for the benefit of one and all. Being a globetrotter, she loves to travel and sample ethnic dishes from those regions. This helps her to combine unique ingredients from global cuisines and make innovative recipes appetizing to the palette while being healthy at the same time.
