Tell us a little about yourself.
I am an extroverted and curious student that is looking to create meaningful connections, share stories and experiences, as well as break down cultural barriers to broaden my understanding and learn from others.
What motivated you to be a part of WIL?
Women in Innovation and Leadership compelled me to step out of my comfort zone to pursue a project that I believe in. I support the objectives of this organisation and want to take part in the process by offering support in those fields in which I can bring about change.
What is a question (academic, personal, social, etc.) that you are currently trying to answer?
How can we integrate empathy and understanding with sustainability to ensure the longevity of this planet?
What has been one of the most impactful experiences in your life?
Having lived in Pakistan, I learned a lot about cultural differences and hiearchical structures. This experience shaped me into the person I am today and impacted the impressions I have of the world.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself working in cooperation with a like-minded team. I see myself contributing ideas of change to existing structures and see myself pushing for development in areas that are lacking in terms of a more progressive world.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
To be authentically myself, because no one else can do that
What is one way you would like to help or offer support for other WIL members?
I would like to offer insight and personal experience to support and further push WIL in its missions. Otherwise, I wish to be an individual that members can approach both personally and proffessionally. I am open to discussions of any nature and hope to be of value to this amazing team.
